KANIZSA MTB PARK
One of the main elements of the wooded area next to the picturesque Csónakázó Lake in Nagykanizsa is Hungary's first built XCO racetrack, which is suitable for holding high-ranking international competitions. The trail includes six ascents, jumpers, rock obstacles and technical elements built of wood. The natural endowment, outstanding beauty and infrastructure of the venue are perfect for holding XCO races. The track is bustling, spectacular and easy to see with the eyes of the spectator, in line with modern standards. The track in Nagykanizsa is one of the most popular course among Hungarian competitors, but more and more foreign athletes are very appreciative.
Hungary's first internationally built mountain bike track - the Kanizsa MTB Park - is 4,100 m long and has a 150 m elevation. The track is pulsatingly varied. It features six steep inclines and highly technical slopes.
The track can be divided into 5 main sections, with the heavier sections always followed by an easier one.
The course includes three teasers, three sloping bends, a rock garden, a pumping track and a rooted slope section. The elements listed make the track truly technical. The two refreshing and technical zones are close to each other, and the spectator routes are also designed to be more than a 5-minute walk away with several spectacular stretches of track apart.
